With elite recruits set to visit campus throughout the fall, Bryan Hodgson and the new staff at Providence are involved with a number of the nation’s best players. As official visits starting to take place soon, it might not be long before the Friars’ 2027 class starts to take shape.
So, what’s real and what’s not for Providence?
Based on my reporting, these are the players I'm keeping an eye on as PC's recruiting picture continues to develop. This isn't intended to be an exhaustive list of every player publicly connected to the Friars, but rather a look at the names I believe are most worth watching right now.
Nasir Anderson (PG, #8 overall in the class of 2027 per 247 Sports) and Michai White (PG, #17 overall in the class of 2028), Prolific Prep:
Look for these high school teammates to visit together in early September. Anderson recently cut his list of schools to ten, and the Friars were included with a who’s who of college programs — a group including Kentucky, UConn, North Carolina, Syracuse, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The lefty is a physically dominant point guard at 6’4. Anderson gets to the rim at will. He kicked off his Adidas season with a 16-point, 13-rebound, 10-assist, three steal triple double against Mass Rivals.
