While Kim English had zero interest in talking about Jayden Pierre’s absence, or Josh Oduro being limited to 22 foul-plagued minutes in Providence’s 73-70 overtime loss to Kansas State on Friday night, the reality was the Friars were without their two most efficient players down the stretch.

While Devin Carter is a spectacular two-way force and Bryce Hopkins is a physical wrecking ball at forward, Pierre and Oduro serve as this team’s stabilizers on the offense end — sound decision makers, good passers, and high percentage shooters.
