A seemingly endless list of players noted that they had heard from Kim English and his staff at Providence over the past week, as coaches were allowed to begin contacting players. Here’s a rundown of who heard from PC in the classes of 2025 and 2026. There were over 30 players who shared that Providence reached out to them over the past week.

Class of 2025:

EJ Walker, 6’8 four star small forward from Lloyd Memorial High School in Kentucky: Walker heard from a wide range of schools, highlighted by PC, Minnesota, Ohio State, Purdue, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, LSU, and Xavier. The hybrid forward (6’8, 220) looks like he could end up in the Midwest in college, having recently visited Minnesota and Xavier, with upcoming visits coming to Notre Dame, Purdue, and Wisconsin.

Aaron Rowe, 6’0 five star point guard from Link Academy in Missouri: Rowe is an elite point guard in the class of 2025 that Providence offered a scholarship to on June 15. He heard from Kansas State, Missouri, PC, Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, LSU and Michigan State when the contact period began last week.

Meleek Thomas, 6’4 five star point guard from Lincoln Park in Pennsylvania: A top ten guard in his class, Thomas doesn’t lack confidence. “I’m a scoring machine,” Thomas told On3 in April. “I can score from all three levels; I don’t really feel like I can be guarded. A lot of times, help steps up, and I’m a good passer too. I’m athletic, and I can handle the ball; shoot the heck out of it. I’ll play the point guard position, but I can also play the two.” The Pittsburgh native has visited Villanova, Pittsburgh, and Indiana. Kentucky and Duke were among the programs that reached out last week.
