Mailbag Time? Let's hear what's on your mind now that the season is over
With the 2024-25 season now in the rearview, I want to start with some thanks before we get into what’s ahead over the coming weeks.
I’ll begin by thanking Billy Ricci, my teammate at Friar Basketball on Substack and The Friar Podcast. We have such a blast hosting the podcast together and spend countless hours talking or texting about this program. He’s been a great addition and I feel fortunate to work with him.
I also want to acknowledge Carl Rizzo, who provided so many of the great pictures we were able to use on the site this year. Looking forward to seeing more from Carl next year.
The biggest thanks belongs to my wife, Anne, who never bats an eye when I drive from Massachusetts to Philadelphia on a Friday to see a .500 PC club at Villanova, or when I spend a Sunday afternoon in Springfield watching a recruit. She’s so happy for me to pursue a passion, which I greatly appreciate.
On behalf of our “team” here, I want to thank all of you who support our content. After all of the highs and storylines of the past couple of seasons, this year proved to be more challenging, but we’re as committed as ever to producing content that is different from anything else out there.
As always, we’ll have year-round coverage, including a really honest look at the transfer portal additions (and subtractions) coming this spring. Much like how the coaching staff is reassessing how they addressed the portal, I have as well, and I think you’ll see it reflected in our coverage.
Let’s kick off the offseason with a mailbag. I had a blast doing parts 1 and 2 earlier this season, and we will keep this up throughout the spring and summer.
Send your questions or thoughts to friarbasketball@gmail.com, and we will get to all of them!
I’m really excited to dig into this critical offseason.
Thanks for your support!
