Miami Proves Too Much for the Friars at Mohegan Sun
“The better team definitely won today. A more connected team. I thought a team that showed great composure. I didn’t think our defense was very good. I thought at times it was men amongst boys.”
That was Ed Cooley following Providence’s 74-64 loss to Miami as part of the Hall of Fame Tip-off at Mohegan Sun on Saturday afternoon.
Cooley is far from down on this group, yet after saying that his team lacked pop in its victory earlier this week against Stonehill, this was the second game in a row in which he seemed to take an aspect of their mentality to task.
