Ryan Mela Returns to Action, Faces Off With Oswin Erhunmwunse in the Semifinals of the NEBL

Saturday night in Worcester provided the rare opportunity to see a pair of Providence commits, Ryan Mela of the Newman School and Oswin Erhunmwunse of Putnam Science, go up against each other in the semifinals of the New England Basketball League.

This game marked the return of Mela, who had been sidelined with a lower body injury over the past few weeks, while Erhunmwunse has been rounding back into form since returning from offseason shoulder surgery about a month ago.

Newman came into this game the #2 seed, with Putnam Science #3, but it was Putnam that controlled this one throughout to earn an 84-67 victory.
