Can’t wait to see the results. It’s funny - the hardest question for me was the “biggest challenge.” It’s like a combo of Chemistry and Inexperience…but not chemistry as in “do they like playing together” or “youth” inexperience. I think it’s the sheer task of integrating so many new pieces who haven’t played together. There is a lot of experience, just not together…similarly, they can all truly like each other and pull in the same direction, but it’s a going to be a team effort with the coaches to put themselves in a position to enhance their strengths as a unit and have it translate into results. Even the best players/coaches can struggle with that. Reminds me of the 20-21 pandemic team…a lot of basketball experience but very little together under the lights (exacerbated by no summer/limited practice and the craziness of the year).

And btw - I think Noah Locke will be the surprise/sleeper. Feel like he is being somewhat marginalized as a role player compared to the seemingly more dynamic guys like Carter/Hopkins. He might be the best shooter the school has ever had statistically (no offense to Joe or Bryce)…and with attack dogs like Hopkins/Bynum/Carter, shooting will be vital. Justin Minaya was also a 5th year guy perceived to be a role player…feel like Locke might be the offensive version.

Great content as always, can’t wait to get things started for real!
